About the Campaign
1 in 3 Canberrans report wanting to cut back or cut out alcohol.

Iโm Good aims to help those looking to make a change by offering practical advice on how to take your first steps and how to stay motivated. It features stories from real Canberrans who have made already made a change to bring this advice to life.
We know that Canberrans who have cut back or cut out alcohol have found new ways to connect, built deeper relationships, are sleeping better, have more energy, and are discovering new hobbies and routines.

Iโm Good shows that thereโs many ways big and small to make changes that will have positive results. We want Canberrans to know that getting started can be as simple as saying โIโm Goodโ next time youโre offered a drink โ and that youโre not alone in wanting to make this change.
Iโm Good is developed by the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE) with funding from the ACT Government.
Iโm Good is based on the advice of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Following a review of the latest evidence they advise healthy adults consume:
no more than 4 standard drinks on any one day; and
no more than 10 standard drinks a week.
The Guidelines also advise that the less you drink, the lower your risk of harm.
You can read more about the NHMRC Australian Alcohol Guidelines, and the evidence behind them.
